Who needs Chiropractic?
Everyone! Chiropractic isn’t just for "back pain” and headaches. Benefits of chiropractic care include better sleep, improved immune function, and increased focus. Who doesn’t need that?
Does an adjustment hurt?
Adjustments release tension in the nervous and musculoskeletal systems that develops over time from the many physical, chemical, and emotional stresses we encounter in daily life. Most patients notice how amazing they feel when that tension dissipates!
We have lots of techniques available so just let the Doctor know if you’re nervous about an adjustment - we have lots of gentle ways to take care of everyone and help you through the process comfortably.
How do I know I need a Chiropractic adjustment?
Subluxations are misalignments in the spine that cause tension in the nervous system and dis-ease. Sometimes subluxations can cause symptoms like pain, stiffness, weakness, muscle spasms, etc. However, most of the time subluxations are silent and cause decreased function without causing pain.
Less than 10% of the nerves in your entire body sense pain. So even if those aren’t irritated, there’s still 90% that could be affected without you even knowing it. That’s why getting checked by a Doctor of Chiropractic is so important. We have objective methods for determining the presence of subluxations that are decreasing your life!
Is Chiropractic safe?
Yes. Chiropractic has an excellent safety record. It is the result of a conservative and natural approach to health that avoids invasive procedures or addictive drugs. As proof, one merely has to compare malpractice rates between chiropractors and other healthcare professionals. Chiropractors' malpractice premiums are a small fraction of those for medical doctors.
Once I start, do I have to keep getting adjusted forever?
No, unless you want to continue improving your health.
Think about anything in your life you want to work properly…your car, your house, your teeth, your muscles. You could easily stop taking care of them, too, but you’ll probably notice the function decrease over time. Your spine and nervous system are no different. Many of our patients include regular chiropractic care in their healthy lifestyle.
How much does it cost?
It’s similar to exercise…one work out does not get you in shape, and typically neither does one adjustment. But ultimately your care is up to you! We offer affordable "per visit” fees as well as packages care plans to help keep you on budget and healthy.
If you can't afford care please speak to the doctor, we are here to help.
What about insurance?
We are happy to provide you with all of the necessary paperwork to submit to insurance for reimbursement, though we don’t bill directly. Most Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards are accepted.
