Birth Trauma Support Circle

Birth is an intrinsic, powerful experience for both mother and baby. But sometimes birthing parents are left feeling damaged and traumatized from the experience. You are not alone. Between 25-34 percent of birthing individuals report that their births were traumatic, and up to 9 percent go on to develop Post Traumatic Stress Disorder with many developing some symptoms. Those who have experienced a traumatic birth tell about the overwhelming feeling of loneliness and inability to speak with others about their experience. This group was made to create a safe space to speak your truth about your birth and heal together as a community. Birth trauma is isolating, devastating, and real but we do NOT have to heal alone.

This group is a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community and open to those who have lost (miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, adoption), adoptive parents, and surrogates. This support group is kid friendly so if you can't find childcare feel free to bring your kiddos along.
